Overview

How TWINJAM works with Asana

Design studios and marketing agencies often run delivery in Asana, where scope creep looks less like new features and more like extra rounds: a fourth set of homepage concepts, a second batch of ad variants, another review cycle on the brand guidelines. TWINJAM connects to the Asana projects you choose and maps each task and section to a deliverable in the SOW.

Revision caps are where Asana shines as a signal. When the SOW says two rounds of revisions per deliverable, TWINJAM counts revision tasks and subtasks against that cap and warns the PM as the last contracted round starts, not after the fifth round has already been delivered. Tasks that match no deliverable are flagged with the nearest clause and an hour range.

TWINJAM reads tasks, sections and comments but never changes assignments, due dates or completion state. If you want flags visible inside Asana, you can let TWINJAM add a Scope Drift tag that your existing project views can filter on.

In practice

Round three of the homepage

A branding studio opens a task for a third round of homepage concepts. TWINJAM matches it to clause 5.2, which contracts two rounds, and prompts the PM to send a short change order for the extra round before the designer starts.

The payload on the right is the event TWINJAM emits to your triage feed and to outbound webhooks, so you can route it into your own reporting.

Setup

Connect Asana in about 3 minutes.

An admin connects once. PMs never need to re-authenticate, and you can revoke access from TWINJAM or the vendor's admin console at any time.

  1. 1Choose Connect Asana and authorize TWINJAM for your workspace.
  2. 2Select the projects for each client contract.
  3. 3Tell TWINJAM which section or custom field represents revision rounds, if you use one.
  4. 4Review the proposed task-to-deliverable mapping and start monitoring.

FAQ

Asana integration questions

Task names, descriptions, sections, subtasks and tags. Task comments in connected projects. Custom fields you nominate, such as Revision round. It never reads: projects outside the ones you select; my Tasks lists, portfolios or goals; attachments and proofing annotations.

Nothing by default. Optional: a Scope Drift tag on flagged tasks. Every action that could reach a client requires a PM to approve it first.
