What is scope creep actually costing your agency this year?
Seven inputs, one transparent formula. See annual leakage, what is recoverable, how far your realization rate moves and when TWINJAM pays for itself.
For context: 52% of projects experienced scope creep, up from 43% five years earlier (PMI Pulse of the Profession, 2018).

How the model works
- 1 active projects = round(team ÷ 3) = 10
- 2 unbilled hours = projects × fixed-fee share × requests × hours × 12 = 1,260
- 3 leakage = unbilled hours × blended rate = $189,000
- 4 recoverable = leakage × 0.65 capture rate = $122,850
- 5 new realization = (revenue + recoverable) ÷ (revenue ÷ realization) = 78.3%
- 6 payback = annual subscription ÷ (recoverable ÷ 365) = 32 days
Time-and-materials work is excluded from leakage because it is already billable. The 65% capture rate assumes PMs dismiss or absorb a third of confirmed flags as goodwill. Nothing you enter here is stored unless you send the report below.

How to read the numbers.
Want evidence instead of estimates? Run a free SOW audit or explore the sandbox.
The defaults describe a 30-person agency doing $4M a year with 70% of work on fixed-fee contracts, three unbilled requests per project each month at five hours each, and a 76% realization rate. Replace every one of them with your own numbers.
On hourly contracts extra requests are already billable, so they are not leakage. The model multiplies by your fixed-fee share so only work that would otherwise be absorbed is counted.
Not every confirmed out-of-scope request becomes a signed change order. Some are absorbed as goodwill or traded for timeline. The model assumes 65% are converted, which you can sanity-check against your own change order history.
Pick one active fixed-fee project and read the last 30 days of its shared Slack or Teams channel. Count every request that is not a listed deliverable. Most PMs find more than they expect, which is why the free SOW audit and the 14-day trial exist.
Replace the estimate with your real number in 14 days.
Connect one Slack workspace and one board, upload a live SOW, and TWINJAM shows the out-of-scope requests already in flight.
