For design, UX & creative studios
Put an end to Revision #14.
TWINJAM turns the revision caps, screen counts and retainer allocations in your contract into live counters, then helps your team offer a friendly, priced option when a request goes past them.
Revision round
#2of 3 contracted
SOW §2.3
“Legal wants the consent copy moved above the fold.”
1 contracted round left.
Where studio margin goes
Design scope rarely breaks loudly. It erodes one kind request at a time.
- 01
Uncapped design revisions
The SOW says three rounds. Round four is “just a few small tweaks”, and round six arrives after a new VP joins. Each round is 8 to 12 designer hours that never reach an invoice.
“One more pass on the onboarding screens?”
Round 4 of 3 - 02
Out-of-scope variant mockups
Dark mode, tablet breakpoints, a second illustration style, three extra hero options. Variants multiply screens without anyone counting them against the contract.
“Can we see the dashboard in dark mode too?”
+22 screens - 03
Expanding design systems
A component library scoped for 40 components quietly becomes 70 as developers request data tables, date pickers and empty states that were never in the brief.
“We'll need a full table component set.”
Component 41 of 40 - 04
Stakeholder changes mid-sprint
A new decision-maker joins in week two and reopens approved work. Approved is approved in the contract, but rarely in practice unless someone points to the sign-off.
“Our new CMO would like to revisit the direction.”
Approved on Oct 3
One two-week sprint
What a sprint looks like when the boundaries are visible.
Every flag lands in a private PM feed with the clause and the sign-off date attached. The designer keeps designing. The PM decides what to send.
Day 1
Kickoff. Caps confirmed: 14 screens, 3 rounds, light mode.
Day 3
Round 1 delivered and logged.
Day 5
Dark-mode variant requested in Slack. Flagged.
Day 6
Round 2 delivered. Feedback consolidated.
Day 8
New stakeholder reopens approved screens. Flagged with sign-off date.
Day 9
Round 3 delivered. Last contracted round.
Day 10
Round 4 requested. Priced option sent, client picks phase two.
Change orders clients like
Give clients a choice, not a bill.
Every flagged request becomes a short, itemized option written in your studio's voice. Clients choose to add it now, move it to the next phase or swap it for something already planned.
- AAdd it now at the agreed day or hourly rate.
- BDefer it to phase two with a written placeholder.
- CSwap it for an item already in the sprint.
68% of agency PMs say they avoid change order conversations without objective evidence (TWINJAM PM survey, n=214, 2026). Options make the conversation easy.

FAQ
Questions studio leads ask.
Revision caps are extracted from the SOW. Rounds are counted from delivery events you mark in Slack, Linear, Asana or ClickUp, and from consolidated feedback threads. PMs can adjust the count at any time, and the request that opens a round beyond the cap is flagged.
TWINJAM does not read Figma files directly. Most studios consolidate feedback in Slack, email or a task tool, which TWINJAM monitors. Feedback pasted from Figma into those channels is checked like any other request.
Yes. Monthly deliverable caps, such as 40 social assets or two landing pages, become counters that reset each period. The account manager is warned before a request crosses the cap.
Clients never receive automated messages. They see a change order only after your account lead has approved it, written in your studio's tone and usually offering a choice: add it now, move it to phase two or swap it for planned work.
