Overview

How TWINJAM works with QuickBooks Online

A signed change order only protects margin once it is invoiced. In many agencies that step depends on someone remembering to copy line items from a PDF into QuickBooks at month-end. TWINJAM closes that loop: when a change order is signed, it creates a matching estimate or adds invoice lines to the customer in QuickBooks Online, with the SOW clause and change order number in the memo.

TWINJAM also reads invoice and payment status for change order lines, so realization reporting shows billed and collected amounts rather than approved amounts. Finance leads see which change orders are signed but not invoiced, invoiced but unpaid, and paid.

Every write is explicit. TWINJAM creates documents only for signed change orders, uses the customer and items you mapped, and never edits existing invoices, payments or journal entries.

In practice

CO-492 on the next invoice

The client signs CO-492 for $2,400. TWINJAM adds an invoice line to Halvorsen Freight in QuickBooks with the clause and change order number in the memo, and marks it paid when the payment lands.

The payload on the right is the event TWINJAM emits to your triage feed and to outbound webhooks, so you can route it into your own reporting.
