Overview

How TWINJAM works with Toggl Track

Toggl Track is popular with design studios and smaller dev shops because people actually use it. TWINJAM turns those entries into a margin signal by attributing each one to a contracted deliverable or to a scope flag, using the project, the task, tags and the entry description.

When a designer logs two hours against Homepage concepts round 3 and the SOW contracts two rounds, TWINJAM counts those hours as uncontracted and attaches them to the open revision-cap flag. The PM sees both the request and the cost already sunk into it, and finance sees realization move in near real time rather than at invoice time.

TWINJAM connects with a workspace admin's API token, reads only the projects you map, and never edits or deletes time entries.

In practice

Hours attached to the right flag

A designer logs two hours to Homepage concepts round 3. TWINJAM links the entry to the open revision-cap flag, so the change order for the extra round can include the time already spent.

The payload on the right is the event TWINJAM emits to your triage feed and to outbound webhooks, so you can route it into your own reporting.

FAQ

Toggl Track integration questions

Time entries for mapped projects: duration, description, task, tags, billable flag. Project and client names. It never reads: projects not mapped to a contract; personal or untagged entries outside client projects; desktop activity, idle detection or tracking reminders.

Nothing. Access is read-only in practice; TWINJAM never edits entries. Every action that could reach a client requires a PM to approve it first.
